Provincetown Cares is pleased to announce our commitment to helping create a mammography suite at Outer Cape Health

Currently, anyone seeking a mammogram has to travel to 1.5 - 2hours to  Hyannis or in some cases  2-3 hours to Boston.

This situation creates a hardship for many and makes early detection for breast cancer in our community virtually non existent. With your support it is our pledge over the next three years to help Outer Cape Health in its' mission to create a full service mammography suite in Provincetown serving the outer Cape communities.

We raised 30,000 dollars

This year's production of The Women and our silent auction were two of our most successful events to date. Thanks to your generous support we are truly making a difference in the lives of women in our communities. We raised 30,000 dollars, 100% of which went directly to Helping our Women, Outer Cape Health, The Fenway Community Health Center and Army of Women Foundation.
Save the dates for next year's production, which will be held October 18 and 19, 2013 at Town Hall.

Whoopi Goldberg 2012 Care Award Recipient

Provincetown Cares is dedicated to raising awareness and funds for breast cancer and other critical women's health issues through entertainment. Each year we stage a play and silent auction during women's week and national breast cancer awareness month.

The proceeds are distributed to local and national organizations committed to research, education and treatment services for women in our communities.

Whoopi Goldberg, Provincetown Cares 2012 Care Award recipient
for her commitment to harnessing the power of entertainment to improve
women’s health.

The Care Award is presented annually to an individual or individuals who through their personal or public advocacy have made a significant contribution to improving women’s health and the fight against breast cancer.

SUPPORTING THE COMMUNITIES WE LIVE IN
Proceeds from the annual live performance, VIP event and silent auction benefit local, regional and national organizations committed to research, education and treatment of women’s health issues.

RAISING FUNDS THROUGH THE PERFORMING ARTS
Provincetown Cares has performed it’s plays to sold out audiences. 2011 marked the debut of Provincetown Town Hall as our new venue. Now in its fourth year, Provincetown Cares annual performance and gala party has become an integral part of Women’s Week every October in Provincetown, MA.  Since its founding in 2008, Provincetown Cares has distributed over $50,000 to local and national charities and has become a recognized community leader in the fight for women’s health. This is especially meaningful to Helping Our Women (H.O.W.) in Provincetown, which receives a large portion of our disbursement each year. This event has also given Women’s Week something new, innovative and entertaining to offer the roughly 5,000 women who attend each year.
